Took the reg out this morning to do some shooting lane clearing. Here's a pic of the first to fall to the regulator. Not big but the 2" tree took about 10 medium whacks.

Also put together a Personal Survival Kit out of the Regulator and new sheath.
I used a baby soda bottle test tube /capsule and a fire steel with mini LED light to go in pouch.
Capsule contents:
small ziplock pill bag with 2 cotton balls soaked with vaseline, and 1 tinderquick
small ziplock pill bag with 4 tylenol, 4 aspirin, 2 katadyn water purification tabs
6' snare wire
30' 15 lb spider wire, wound around small nail
2 small jigs with twister tails, 2 fish hooks
paper clip, and 2 safety pins

24" of gorilla tape around tube
24" of 1 1/4" wide electrical tape around tube
20' of 550 paracord wrapped around bottom of sheath
2 fairly heavy rubber band around neck of tube, for fire starter or whatever.
black plastic drum liner folded small and placed on back of sheath under the strap then the paracord wrapped around it.

I know the black sheath and black cord and plastic doesn't show up to well in pics.
This is kind of a kit in progress so other ideas or looks at other kits encouraged.

Looks good, and it's always wise to be prepared! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I like your kit. I want to do something similar with all of mine. Perfect knife foe survival situations.
