You knew Rex Applegate? Did I read that right? What was he like?

Sweet sheaths for the Yard blades!

I am proud to say I knew him well <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />. I not only knew him- he was a great friend. Before I got into knives I would listen to all these guys at his house going on and on about knives & guns <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />. I just didn't understand. Now-I certainly do <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />. He was witty as hell - had a warped sense of humour and a heart of gold. The man was ( is) a legend. Proud to say he was my friend. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Jeff did many of my sheaths- the guy is AWESOME <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Oh, excuse me, Applegate... How'd I mix that up with a Fairbairn?

No- you had it correct <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />- the dagger type is a Applegate/Fairbairn fighter. Lots of folks look at this knife and the Smatchete and think they are a Boker/Buck/ Gerber knock off. The fighter and the Smatchete were actually both customs. The Spartan kife that is out now is a Spartan/ Harsey- which I belive that the first 25 were hand finished by Bill. I am not sure how we quailfy the Bussekin blades as they are more of a production knife I think <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />. Correct me if I am in error-Thanks <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Love the lone wolf folder. We just started carrying those in the store that I work for. The action on those knives is about the best on an auto I have ever seen. They aren't cheap though!

I actually was looking at other folders and just couldn't make up my mind at all <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />. I saw the Lone Wolf and the quality is unreal <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />. S30V- compact and just feels [censored] nice <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />. Hey- you get to play with them all day in the store <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />!!

Indeed! one of these days I will have one. I really like the diablo's as there is no way anyone would know it is an auto without you being shown the opening mechanism.

That is how mine is !! Just awesome for a folder <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />. They seem to be a league all their own as I consider them a tactical folder. Great S30V steel and rock solid. But- like you said- they ain't cheap at most over 300 bucks <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />. Oh well- we need them <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Yikes! You could buy three regulators for that! Course, they might not fit in the pocket quite so easily...
