It looks like there's scuttlebutt on the Busse forum about the B 11 on the horizon...an 11 inch blade of infi w/ Res-C handles.

Does anyone here have a Basic 9 and a DF? If so, how do the handles compare? The Basic line look a little smaller to me.

basic handles are known for being cramped. gravelface once posted a good comparison pic of the basic, the df, and the battle rat. try a search for his thread.

I just had a look at my Basic 7 (smooth coat version) and my S6. The handle length and general contours are pretty much identical. However the S6 handle seems a fraction fatter so would probably suit big hands better.

IF Jerry does do another Basic of pretty much any kind, WOOP! I'm all over that! INFI with good handles? Nice!

I'm pretty new to the World Of Busse, but it seems a bit of a stretch to think that thread is a hint about the release of a new Basic 11.

Just in case anyone want to proxy one for me at Blade?

Skorp...did you notice Jerry's comments in the thread?

This seems to be an interesting response to the cries for a res-c handled chopper. I think it has the potential to be awesomeness....but I hope they thin it out like the BWM, down below .2. Reading the threads on BF, it sounds like the Basic series were approximately .25. I'd have to weigh the options against my BWM if that was the case...and depending if they become available in store, I may wait to learn the final weight of the delivered product before making up my mind. If they bring it thinner, and with an Asymmetric grind....I'll eat it up.

Yes Ish I saw the thread from the beginning, My instinct tells me He's just going with the flow and having a little fun playing with our heads.. I'm sure you've seen the Muk thread over there.

But, the wisdom of some of the old hogs may be right on. I hope so as I think it would be a great blade.

Hear that Dan, If your Bro's just tweaking us a little I think a Bigdog Father might be the ultimate. In orange res-c of course

Ahhh, I see what you mean. It can get so confusing sometimes...its anyone's best guess really. Considering the Cisaba statements, I'm betting on it

Speculating a bit further, I'm thinking if Jerry is hinting at A BASIC, I believe that it will be in the medium range. Likely a 5.5-6.5 inch blade. His new plan was supposed to have small medium and large blades available at the same time. He has the BWM out now, 10", large. The Boss Street, 4.25", small. So a medium is needed.

The 11" came from analysis that because there were 11 melons in the picture it was code for an 11" knife. Very creative of Jerry if this is true and very perceptive of the Hogs to cypher this. I would be very impressed.

Now if you factor in the SAR-3 into this scenario would this now mean that the Boss Street would be bumped into the medium class. If so all bets are off. The B-11 will be unveiled in a little more than 2 weeks at Blade. My brain hurts now and 4am comes early. Goodnight.

Sleep well Skorp.

Well, the BWM and Street have been up for some time. Although I'd love to see a thin, satin BOSS....it would rather interesting to see Jerry come out with a full line of Basics. Basic 5; Basic 7; Basic 11 (small, medium, large). Wow, that would be an interesting to see up on the store-front
