I would love to see a SY SR-77 kukri to take on the Killa Zilla 1&2. What do you dogs think?

It's probably not going to happen any time soon because of the Killa Z's, but I'd like to see one eventually. So you can count me in! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

A Golok would be Awesome too. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I love that LTC design and really think it would be a hit in the Yard.

I believe Dan has addressed this before. I think he said it would be too high cost. Cutting out a kukri blank would require a large piece of steel. You would end up with a lot of waste.

I would definately be in for one if Dan could find a way to make it cost effective.

And a golok too!

Oh that's good to know. I totally understand not wanting to waste a lot of steel, but I really think it would be one monster dog.

I have never used a golok. How are they compared to a kukri in chopping?

The way to address the steel cutout is to make a batch of smaller blades along with it, maybe two small blades could come out of the leftover steel for every kukhri.

I thought of that, you could also line up several kuk patterns close together on the same sheet of steel. That might be an easier program for a water jet.

I assume Dan has reasons, but cost something that he did mention.

A golok is more like a shorter and heavier machete. I would say a kukri is a better chopper, but a golok might be a better all-arounder. I love both.

How about a Scrapyard version of the knife used in Rambo 4. It could even have the new Scrapyard wrap on the handle !
