JJ those are so amazing. The second one really conveys the subject's emotions. When looking at photos of people versus drawings of people, I've always felt more of a connection to photos as they seem to capture the moment in its entirety, for the viewer to interpret. Drawings on the otherhand always made me feel like I was looking at the artist's interpretation. But, somehow your drawings are so life-like that they are able to emmulate the honesty of a photo while still allowing for the artistic interpretation to co-exist.

Hopefully the moderators don't delete them.

Sorry JJ, as good as they are, they're really not appropriate here.

They are nice pieces of art...but this is a family friendly forum, so you may want to confirm with one of the mods on appropriateness. I'm not one to say, that's for sure

Amazing work, I've been known to pick up a pencil myself (my favorite pieces are the ones I've done in charcoal and graphite). Absolutely outstanding. I would love to see more, if the mods won't let you post them here, and you'd like to share, feel free to shoot me a PM with a link!

I was going through some of my old art work and thought some of you might appreciate this. It is a pencil sketch I did back in 2007 of the mascot for Camp Fuji, Cpl. Jiggs.
