Went on a camping trip in the high country this weekend. Went to an Alpine lake for some fishing and relaxation. Took ATV's and traveled light. Camped at about 11,000 feet and rode over a pass that was about 13,000 feet. Had a blast. here are a few pics. Camped with a hammock and tarp and stayed warm and toasty all weekend.

That is beautiful. Do you have pics of your hammock set up? Have you found the hammockforums.net site?

The only time I have been over 5,000 feet was in a plane. Hope to see that some day.

The first pic is the hammock set up. It is tied right up under the tarp. I don't think the pad and bag was in it yet though. I hadn't sat or slept in it yet.

I live at 7,000 feet right now. I really like the high country though.

Where was this place MB? If it's in CO, I might have to take a road trip next weekend! I promise I'll find my own spot though
