That's a fairbairn sykes commando #4.

Rex Applegate's "Kill or Get Killed" elaborates a lot on fighting with a knife.

Yes, I know what it is. I have one, too. It is probably the most famous combat knife in the world, along with the Mk 2 or Marine Combat knife. Did not mean to be so blunt or demean your post at all. If you are taking about street fighting in Hong Kong, or silencing sentrys, it is fine. Would you want to face someone in a knife fight (duel) that had a large Bowie with that stiletto?

BTW, That F-S is much nicer than mine. Beautiful dagger.

Without the catch.....I am more likely to be carrying my pistol over a knife that I would fight with in a situation that would put me in the position to defend my life by killing.......the only knife I have on me at ALL times is my CRKT M21...not much of a fighter, but it will cut you all the same. Just another way of me saying I HATE the catch...but that is just me.

i buy into rex applegates theory on fighting someone who's wielding a knife in a a skilled way.

Don't!

Maybe the indiana jones technique would be more appropriate.

No offense taken HD

Viva el mojo!

I voted for "no catch" as well. I'm not going to get in any knife fights, and I'm not a big fan of the looks of it. Now, if it was clearly a functioning bottle opener on the top, I would take it! Not really...

When I do go for a Mojo I'll get it without the cathc. I'll probably be skipping the first round, but I haven't decided yet. It depends on the results of knobganza

I am an a**hole, at times. That was thoughtless of me to open my reponse with "Wrong". It is a beatiful dagger and I openly apologize for my remarks.

After losing my bottle opener for the 6th time today, I want to change my vote. The Mojo should have the bottle opener on it!

I love the SF dagger and Blondie posted the best one with the knurled grip not the later ringed one. I think the reason you get totally different looking knives for knife fighting is the styles are different.
For a thrusting style preferably from the behind the SF dagger is perfect. It is also the most knife for the least weight.

I know it is blasphemy but I would trade all my Scrappers for that SF Dagger.

The bowie with the sharpened back clip is a personal favorite of mine and is getting very popular. I think it is better suited fighting someone else with a knife or gun rather than just sneaking up and sticking it in someones ear OSS style. This is why you get bigger longer knives with sharpened back clips for snap cuts. The knives the HD put up earlier are perfect examples especially the one with the very sharp back edge.(he said he did a mediocore job but I thought it was impressive as hell)A full size Mojo with a sharpened back edge would be awesome for this.

I like knives that are not as big as the old style bowies so you can pack them better and for better thrusting but still being able to use snap cuts. I have a modified Buck 119 with a sharpened clip(some people take the top guard off as well for better grip options)but the ultimate version of this type of knife is the Busse Pure Bred Fighter

I reread my old post HD and it did sound like I was saying handguns are good for close quarters bottle opening work

That is a nice dagger for sure. I had an original Viet Nam Gerber Mk2, but I broke it (soldiers have special ways to abuse knives). I must get my taxes and a few other pressing chores done today. I was hoping to hear word on the Mojos before I left, but I guess we will find out later.

+1 I agree w/ Tony on this. The day I get in a 1 on 1 knife fight will probably be the day I forget to pack a knife. Hopefully the Springfield XD .45 will be close at hand.

I want one of those Springy Xd45's REALLY bad...how ya like yours??

Awesome, I would say better than a Glock, but I never owned a Glock .45, only 9mm & 10mm. Light weight, rugged, mean looking, fairly accurate (that could be me though).
