On the good side, squirrel season started here Monday. Once it gets cold enough, I can finally do some hunting. Or at least get out in the woods by myself.

Oh you would be surprised. Just load her up with a lighter bullet with a stout powder charge and let er rip!

When I was in Idaho a buddy and I were playing round with a 180 grain bullet with a healthy powder charge. Worked out really nice.

I use 150 gr bullets, mostly stuff like Remington Power Point, or whatever the cheapest stuff I can find is. I figure at the ranges I shoot, it's not gonna matter if it's a $.75 round or a $3.00 round.

Yeah, at ranges we are talking about an '06 is a pretty potent round.

I used to hunt with a .44 mag carbine, it was pretty good at short range. I'd rather have it than my .06, but in a fit of foolishness years ago I sold it.

That is true. I wish that I had a .357 or .44 mag rifle. They work out pretty nice around here, and for zombies, PLENTY POTENT!

I've got a 30.06, a 30/30 and a .243 I figure that between them I'm pretty well covered as far as whitetails go. I just sold my AR15, so if a zombie outbreak hits I'm in trouble!

haha, got 3 .308, Colt ar15 couple 22s several handguns .32, 38/357 9mm .40 and .45. Oh and some shotguns, 20 and 12 guage.
