Is it too late to go back to the first guy and admit that you were wrong and apoligize? I'ts certainly not the first time that similar incidents have happened on the forums. Perhaps you could promise him first consideration if you sell something in the future?

I might do a public apology in my thread- I closed it 'cause I was po'ed with him complaining.

A question though- where does that place the "first I'll take it." condition if you put that up front? I tend to think if you do that, haggle and someone else posts it's theirs then it is indeed theirs...

I'm really wanting to defend my actions you see...;) my conditional yes I see as getting me my moral "out" card! ha ha haa!

RN, if you accepted the deal and said yes I would say that is the first I'll take it. I don't know how you worded your add, but did you post that the first I take it in the add gets it? Hard situation for sure.

So how is everyone tonight? Well I hope. Wondering if Todd is going to get picked for the volunteer work? If he does I am sending some extra prayers and smoke--so dangerous with gas lines, electric, loose debris, glass, etc. Not to mention what the sights and smell can do to the person working there. It is not fun, and I do understand his need gtoo and help. Todd, if you read this and get to go--my thoughts and prayers are going to you.

Well I am getting closer to a goal of mine with Scrap Yard blades. I don't have every release as far as LE's colors and all but I will need one more blade for a representative selection. A fine Dog has two on hold for me, just need to locate a Yard Guard.

Thanks for the thoughts Jeff. Don't look like I'm going down east, didn't get the call today. Not sure what I'd be doing, but it would be SOMETHING. I just want to help them out, maybe make a difference down there somehow.

Todd, I understand. Helped with some around here, if you do end up getting the call take some electrolytes, plenty of water, M&M or hard candy for quick energy boosts, bandana/dust masks/respirators, etc. If you go, let me know and I will give more stuff too. Just things that make it a bit easier. I am sure a lot of it is on site now, but you never know.

Todd, not everyone needs to be a searcher. There are other ways of helping. We had a fire here locally many years ago that our FD responded to. Two Young men died in that fire. There were SEVERAL firemen, Coroner, Sheriff's deputies and other support personal. I was at the time only a dispatcher, not gone to the Police Academy yet. Anyway, I got them food and soft drinks and delivered to them. When the store asked why I needed so many sandwiches and sodas/lemonade and tea, when I told them they donated all the stuff.

Not everyone needs to be a searcher to help. Just my 2 cents.

Oh and Todd, to add to Sumo's post, VICKS for under your nose. It does wonders for masking any smells that might be lingering around. That's what we do around here if we have to go into a house where the body has been inside for a while.

Yeah. I spent several years as an EMT, back in another life. Seen it all, so I thought. Never worked a disaster though
