Just read skunk's post before that. Thats really bad news, it seems there is always someone here with things like that going on.
I guess thats life, even though it doesn't make it any more bearable
If giving thought to someone else's wellbeing truly has an impact, all of us are lucky enough to have such a great crowd of people considering the health of us and our families.
Thank you yard <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I'm sincerely sorry to hear about the brain tumor. I just sent a different Dog a letter in response to the hardships he is enduring.
There is certainly no shortage of misery going around. I feel deeply for those who don't know the comfort provided by faith.
It is refreshing to hear that Randy's wife is starting to feel better. I've done a very poor job of asking about her. I'd like to say that its only because I didn't want to pry, but to be completely honest - its because I've been self absorbed. I'm sorry Randy.
That really is the amazing thing about the Yard. Excluding myself - the Dogs here are always encouraging and friendly. Case in point, I've been corresponding with a Dog about my health. He's been very supportive, and encouraging....all the while enduring his own tribulation...yet he only mentioned it in passing and didn't emphasis it.
The Yard is a truly unique place on the Internet, and I am very thankful for it. Hopefully I'll grow into the standards of being a supportive member. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" />

Philosophy Warning - Philosophic Stuff Ahead
You've been warned...
People are so quick to claim "success" for themselves, but this year has taught me a lot about maturity. One of those lessons has been...
STOP and LISTEN long enough to really understand what other people are saying. Don't just wait for your turn to talk again.
WATCH and LEARN from other people. Disregard those characteristics that SOCIETY thinks are important (job, status, whatever). Pay attention to REAL ATTRIBUTES like compassion, caring, maturity, wisdom, kindness, generosity.
EXPERIENCE REAL GROWTH through listening to others and watching others. Learn to be a good human being - not just another society/status/materialistic/consumerism driven waste of space - by becoming more like those people you have grown to appreciate.
CONTRIBUTE through participation and being a compassionate friend. I have been surprised by how many people really need someone to just listen to them and offer friendship.

Brother you said a mouthful. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" />
I copied and saved those words to my Notepad in Microsoft. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
Words like that bear re-reading,remembering, and taking them to heart. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
Well said. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" />
Peace.

NOW FOR SOME GOOD NEWS! Patty is doing some better. She is not shaking as much as she was and she is not getting sick everyday as she was for so many months. the Docs have changed her meds around some and also changed what time of the day she takes them. SOMETHING is helping, but she still is fairly weak. I am so glad to hear that Randy When Patty feels up to it please ask her to do us a favour. Ask her to take a photo of a place she finds close to her heart that she doesn't mind sharing with us and please post it

Dogs, I didn't want to put it is Arch's thread and didn't want to start a new one because I haven't talked to the Dog about it
But there is a Dog here who's wife has a brain tumor. She has had it for some time but we need to remember THEM in our prayers as well.
And he is a well known Dog here, contributes a lot and that has no bearing on our Prayers, just wanted to let you know it is someone that has been here for a long time. Smoke sent my friend

Lots of serious news. All I can say is I wish all the best for every Dog in need. Guided now by Architect I want to also say that some times situation bad enough makes us stop, think and grow.
It's nice to know people who ask you how are you and really want to hear the answer.

Yote, Will do, as soon as we get a chance to cruise Mingo again.
T1, So true, and I especially like the last sentence. And you can tell the Dawgs DO care. It is easy to just speak the words. It is more difficult to type them and they are done truly out of concern.
