I think the only thing that saved me was the fact I was chewing out an Airman for messing up the Generals departure routine and called him another name before I turned around to see who it actually was.

He told me it would be a good idea in the future to actually turn around before starting to speak to someone. I told him I agreed.

I directly dealt with a lot of Generals in my career, and I found out most of the time they were not really all that bad, it was the aids to them that were the PITA!
