Bad, SAD news Todd. Storms can be interesting, fascinating, as long as no one or nothing gets hurt/torn up. Unfortunately, that does not happen that much once it hits a highly populated area. Thoughts and prayers to ALL who suffered.

Already 21 confirmed dead just in NC from today.

Friend of mine is a cop in Raleigh. He said three kids died in a bathtub less than 1/4 mile from him when the storm hit.

21! Any words I can put down here just does NOT describe the sadness, the waste of the lives lost and property destroyed. Property can be repaired or reused, but the lives lost will be forever mourned.

Y'all out there are used to tornados. You know what they can do and know to get where it's safe. People here don't realize it. They paid the price today.

Weather.com is reporting 10 killed in NC. Hope they're right and my other sources are getting it wrong.

No matter if it's 10 or 20 (hope THEY are right) a life lost in something like this is tragic.

NWS is reporting 14 dead in one tornado near Morehead City.

Can't find anything to confirm that, but our local weather service is passing that along.

I just have a hard time getting my head around all those deaths in one area. It's so sad and that does not even begin to actually portray the true sadness.
