I think my gramps would have argued that the royalty aren't celebrities though. They are part of British history and culture and heritage - which is a fair point. He like many couldn't understand the grief expressed when Diana died - it was distinctly UNbritish behavior

i just see the royals as a waste of time I guess your invite got lost in the mail then. Yeah I mean since they don't do anything to actually run the govenment it just seems like a waste of many millions of dollars.
