Haha, just messing I didn't but I have been hitting the Java tonight. So we have been dry here now for another day and the water is finally getting out from the houses that were flooded. I was talking to one of the city workers Friday afternoon and he said one man in town emptied a total of 24 inches of rain from his gauge.

Wow that's a lot. My cousin in tuscalosa said he cried when he saw the destruction. Weather is getting crazier every year it seems.

Our fall back position is her Mom and brothers place up in the hills, literally. They live about 8-10 miles away and have about a 4 maybe 5 acre lake with a lot of nice fish. They also have a nice garden and if it gets bad down here in the lowlands (a disaster where things are destroyed, quake or tornado) we plan on going up there as it would be a lot safer than in the reclaimed Missouri swampland we live in.

My friend from Tuscaloosa is safe, but the area where her apartment was the last time I was there is gone. She lived about a mile from the mall that was wiped out.

Was she still living in the apartment or had she moved?
