Hi Randy! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> We left Joplin at the perfect time and got home about 20 minutes before the storm hit. And did it hit!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> I was beginning to think that the tornado warning we heard was right, but fortunately it was "only" VERY strong winds, hail, and pouring rain. The wind picked up my large plastic "truck box" and blew it half-way down my front yard. Luckily we didn't have any damage.

The General had a relatively good visit with the neurosurgeon; the latest MRI showed some disc problems above the ones she had surgery on, but not bad enough to warrant additional surgery. Sherrie was glad to hear that, and received a prescription renewal for a couple of pain meds. We celebrated the "good news" with a late lunch at the Olive Garden and a fast stop at Sam's Club for pet supplies. We got home just in time! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

We had one big storm here last night. I was scheduled to do a wilderness overnight, right before we headed out we started getting pelted with 1/2 inch hail. I had just gotten to pick my site when we got word from the superintendents that it was a no-go. Get back to school and the power is out. Then one of the teacher's wives had a terrible car accident, totaled her car, but she was fine. What a turn of events.

Glad to hear the good news! I looked for your truck as we drove by Olive Garden but didn't see it. You must have been parked around back. There's only been an Olive Garden there for about 4 years.

Well it's starting to rain and the wind is blowing. Hope that's all we get. AND I hope this Internet stays up.
