Yeah. I hope insurance covers the wreck. He's had terrible luck, his kids have had some health issues growing up, his transmission recently crapped out, he slipped down some stairs a few years ago busting up his ankle and some other crap.
The overnight is just pushed back a week, so that's no huge loss. I wouldn't have really wanted to be out tonight anyways.

I was planning on a brush shelter, I think I would have been fine if I had pre-built it or at least got out before it started to rain, but starting with wet leaves... No thank you.

Yeah, definitely a situation where you would want the framework to FIRST be covered by a waterproof tarp.

What I was planning on was setting up a tarp shelter first for all my gear and as a backup, then setting up a brush shelter. Given how hard it was raining, I probably would have scrapped the latter.
