When I buy from Bussekin, I know I'm getting quality.

I just bought an American made backpack and you can bet the quality in this pack surpasses anything the popular pack companies are currently putting out. This pack is canvas and is built to last beyond my life.

I'm looking to buy some American made boots but I have so many other needs at the moment that I need to hold off.

Whats the brand? I am making another BOB and wouldnt mind checking out some different bags?

If America would get back into manufacturing we could probably change the direction that we are currently heading and that is riding blind in the dark and being dependent on junk from China.

I feel myself starting on a rant so I'll focus back to the quality of European, Japan and America.

In case no one has noticed I'm trying to run the number of posts I have with good wholesome feedback on quality things I'm interested in. I would love to be able to afford German optics but holly cow that is way out of my price range.

I have a Kowa scope that I love and is great for shooting across the course when shooting out at 600 yards with service rifle.

Waaaaaaaaay back in 1994 I bought a USED set of Swarovski 8X30 binocs and they cost me $450.00. It is now 2011 and they are STILL nice!

I agree with you and I think there is a scary side to not moving to that goal soon.

Years of manufacturing junk will build up the knowledge to produce good stuff.

I feel like China is reaching that cusp of producing quality. Which is bad for the rest of the world since they still ignore things like safety, environment, and worker rights. There is already high end electronics manufacturing in China for big US companies that design in the US and build in China or Taiwan. Same for prescription drugs made in oversees plants that are approved and regularly inspected by FDA.
