the area in northern bc that we moose hunt has a healthy grizzly population.
we see griz at least 2 out of 3 years.
That picture was taken about 5 or 6 miles away from and 2 days after a bow hunter was attacked by a grizzly. The hunter killed it by stabbing in the neck with an arrow
Must have been a devastating experience! The hunter have had nerves of steel!
My one brother worked in a sporting goods store for about 10 years
one of his frequent customers was attacked by a grizzly that weighed about 400lbs
he killed it with a buck hunting knife
my one brother was bluff charged by a grizz and 2 cubs 3 years ago
at about 20 feet when he was just about to pull the trigger, the sow veered off
