I see my profile is not as good as it can be but I am in South Africa. Close to Johannesburg International Airport (or that was its name before it was changed again.

I am a qualified Urban Planner, waiting for final marks on my Masters degree in Environmental Management, I have working experience as well, but I am doing some od handy man jobs etc, promoting certain products for mining personal protective equipment. Just trying to get an income going.

Weird thing is that there are hundreds of positions I have applied, that I know I am qualified for, but no one is willing to take a chance, or, due to political and economic policies (http://www.southafrica.info/business/trends/empowerment/bee.htm) I am well....not the right....type <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" /> even though I had nothing to do with what happened in the past (to young)

Marthinus, as Telly Salavas, an actor from the "70s used to say "Keep the Faith Baby"! Unfortunately while you're keeping the faith ya gotta live. Good for you for doing "Odd Jobs". Says you don't think you are to good to do something. Many "Educated" people consider themselves above doing "Grunt work".

I could never understand the term reverse discrimination,
I guess I am just wrong in my belief that it is wrong to discriminate against someone for any reason.

I don't know how the economy is in South Africa, but I do salute you for doing odd jobs.

My grandmother used to say there is no such thing as second class work, just second class workers.

She hated laziness in any form, and couldn't abide someone slacking off when someone was paying them

Thanks, I really appreciate it, my family has been very supportive, but they, nor the od jobs can pay the bills forever, nor can one build a future on them, but none the less, I will "Keep the Faith Baby!"
