Ground beef? My Mom only made it with chipped beef. Usually from the glass jar. But then, Dad served in the navy.

She told me SOS meant Save Our Ship. Which never made a lick of sense to me. Then again, how much sense does Shix On a Shingle make?

Yote, Personally I like it with ground up hamburger better, or sausage all ground up as well. Don't know if you saw my comment somewhere, but we have found LIBBY'S sausage gravy in a can. Not to awful bad. Now it's not as good as fresh made, but then again what is. Now for the most mouth watering tasteful breakfast you will EVER have, this is the one.

Ham, cheese and mushroom Omelette (or your favorite)

TWO pieces of toast covered with SOS (yeah the military term), hamburger or sausage gravy on top and a couple link sausages on the side! It'll keep ya going for hours. AND sometimes it WILL keep ya going for hours!
