I just received a new Ruger Air Hawk, but haven't had a chance to use it yet. I have killed several possums and rabbits with my son's old Daisy 880 powerline though.

did aite research online and it seems the ruger air hawk is pretty impressive. would like to know what you come up with when you finally get it out.

My brother has a Walter. It's ok, but not what I want. Looking for an old S&W 622 auto, or maybe a 617 revolver. Maybe even a Ruger Single Six Convertible, .22 and .22mag in one package.

My better half has a 622, she really likes it. Very light and pretty accurate. After a couple hundred rounds you must strip it down and clean it or it will fail. The single six is a great choice, I've had one for years.
The most accurate 22 pistol/revolver I own is a Government model Ruger MKII. A real tack driver, but heavy. 6 7/8 bull barrel that now sports a Leopold 4X EER scope, a great tree squirrel pistol.

Yep, I've got that one covered with the MkII Slabside. Shoots better than I can, but it's pretty heavy to carry in a hip holster. I've got a bandolier holster for mine, but still gets unwieldy after a while.

Shooting at Gophers is a part time Summer job around the farm.
Those nasty complex diggin sons of guns make holes the size of a 10 inch softball at random ALL over 5 acres of must be mowed grass.

Bouncing up and down in these holes on a Saturday afternoon is NOT fun.
Not to mention they eat as much as they can from our vegetable garden.

I don't use the Scrappers to skin and trim them, they're just for content.

I ride the John Deere with that pistol in a quick draw holster.

Many times the mower scares a big one up and as he races across the grass to the next entry to his underground NORAD I have stopped them cold.

Success! It feels good. Out comes the black garbage bag, drop one... keep mowing.

I love cutting the grass!

Peace.

I use a S&W Model 17 revolver, a Glenfield single shot, a Henry Golden Boy, or CZ 452 American with a scope for my plinking.

.17 HMR is my favorite round. I used to own six of them until I had to sell a bunch of my guns. Now, I'm down to just an open site CZ and a Ruger.

I use the Ruger 77/17-VMBBZ. It was "tuned" by the previous owner, but hardly used (elderly gentleman who collected far more than he would shoot). Now that it's sighted in, I can take Grey Diggers out to 150 yards with confidence. Today, I took 4 of them at that 135-155 yard range and a few more at 50-100. I started passing up the close ones to practice my "long-range" shots.

I also have an airforce condor. It shoots .22 caliber pellets pretty fast. When the starlings start to show up in the spring, I have frequently drop half a dozen of them in one sitting.

the condor looks like a best of an airgun. looks like it about as loud as they get though. I may pick up another airgun at some point but I'd be looking for something on the quiet side.also something tipping on the 1000fps mark.
