Congrats Jeff,it's a beauty!
I can't wait to get mine.(OD green G10 for me.)
Thanks for the side by side with the Scrap Muk,great pic.
It's going to be a hard decision on which one to take hunting.
I'll just have to wait to see how it feels in hand compared to the scraper.

The "Muk" is short for "Nessmuk" and is named after the knife's designer George Sears "Nessmuk". It was one of a handful of self-designed tools he used to go camping for months at a time--the others were a double-sided hatchet, a two blade folder, and a birch bark canoe. Sears was the grandfather of today's ultralite camping.

The Muk or Nessmuk or Nessie is a skinner, camp, or general utility knife. It is a simple design that has endured for over 100 years.

That, and it just looks cool

It is a nice looking knife. You can tell the difference just looking at them as far a finish at least to me and hence the price difference but it sure looks good. Congrates Jeff.

I have the Scrap Muk and am amazed that it cuts meats better than my kitchen knives. It's also a solid woods blade and is just mean as a self defense blade. I lucked into it a few months ago and it's my favorite knife in this size. Has a great feel...some intangibles that make it a fav.

That being said, I passed on them when thy were released b/c the design was so different for me and I was not keen on 154 cm at that point. Bad move by me!

Congrats Jeff- enjoy it!

Very nice and thanks for the comparison pics. It will be a couple weeks before I have my Busse MUK here but I am looking forward to comparing the two blades. I can see there is some differences already so it will be interesting.

Vlad, the MUK is a great all around knife. I love my Scrap Muk and hope the Busse will feel "right" too.
