So my only question is. How many War Dogs were actually made? When Dan said good luck getting in on this I was thinking like 50 or 60 or something small along those lines.

They are not going to make 50-60 if they invested in the mold for a new handle. The cost for that is pretty high so they will have to put out a few knives to recoup that expenditure. Will they all be INFI? I doubt it, I think we'll see this new style handle for awhile on new models.

which would be sweet cause while i dont need the size, i love the handle and would be all over a different release :P

Remember that we still haven't seen the Reg style handle on anything else yet.
This handle does seem like it would lend itself to more designs though.

Yes, but there are at least three versions of the Regulator and they made a lot more than 60 of them. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

So...the question I have now is: do I order a black handled one too?

Hey dogs, new guy here, the war dog is going to be my first INFI blade, is the rust resistance going to be better then 1095 or even sr-101?

I think that the handle is too slender for the offered blade. Put a slim blade on it and it would be hot. Make it out of SR101 and sell a zillion of them. The price point would fit my budget better, also. Oh, and some gimping on the spine would be cool. Thank you.

Welcome! Infi is way less rust prone than sr-101. It's almost stainless but not quite.
