After handling your War Dogs, does any one else feel compelled to round the side corners of the Butt/Pommel. The voices are trying to talk me into it.

I haven't voted yet, gonna wait until I get to work tonight and play with the new pup then I'll cast my vote. Yep,gonna wait till I get the War Dog in hand. It'll be hard to pick just one though, the 4 previous work/feel so well on their respective knives. I think for overall comfort, the reg handle gets the nod for now. I & a few others (IINM) would like to see it on the next chopper. RES C RULES!! I got the war dog at work today.Awesome knife! It beats mudders by a smidgen in my book, they both feet great, but I like the overall feel of the new handle better. Smooth but grippy without the ridges on the top & bottom of the mudders. I like the smaller ridges in the sides of the mudders, but the top & bottom are just a bit too pronounced IMO. Maybe I'll just sand 'em down on one of my muppies. I'm still going with the regulator handle for a chopper. In any form,Res C still rules!

Just a little off the sides please. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I think that as well. Also what I like most about the mudders is the way they are contoured. The way they follow the curvature of your hand as you hold it. And I DO like the WarDog grip.

I chose Regulator for the poll. Preferences are below.
Regulator for anything with a longer blade => ANY chopper, ANY Bowie, and also fighters or combat knives with a blade about 7" or longer.
New War Dog, I like this for smaller, lightweight knives less than 7". I would love an anorexic Regulator shaped blade of about 5" long (anorexic HG-55). I also would love to see this new handle with a "guard" on top just like it has on the bottom. I'd love an anorexic War Dog.
I really like the Mudder for many reasons - it's very useable, provides a great grip & texture, and the "mudgrip" styling is really cool.
Nothing against the Basic or the Standard, but it is my least favorite by far.

I went with the Regulator style but the War dog would be a close second.
I'm not sure how a War Dig handle would be on a large chopper.
It might be to fat in the palm swells? Or not - so without knowing I went regulator. I am with you...but obviously I like them all <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Dan

mudders get the most use. Reg handles are nice but the OG handles seem to work well with those blade designs.
I'm hoping Dan has plans to toss magnum mudders on that 9" recurve on the first page of the gear thread. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" />

I may have to change my vote. I originally voted for the regulator style, but that was before my War Dog arrived in the mail, I really love the way it fits my hand.
