Finally decided i needed a Zilla, and I've always loved the looks of the Test Team versions, so I pulled the trigger on one and received it the other week. I had to put it to work right away, chopping up a tree that had fallen over in a recent storm
(bad cell pics, but I didn't have a real camera with me)

now for the big part

This thing is a MONSTER chopper, but the machining on the handles seemed to be a bit aggressive and blistered my finger, so for extended chopping comfort, I sanded the handles, super comfy now

Who needs an axe, Zilla splittin wood all day!

The Zilla makes mince meat out of a hard chunk of wood in no time

Side chop, bites deep

More wood splitting, its not even fair

Giant chunk of indestructable INFI, check! Vicious sharp convex grind, check! Super comfy hand shaped mag pumpkin handles, check! Wood shaking in its boots at the sight of the Zilla, you are DANG right Check! Just smart!

Congratulations on your score, you seem very happy with it. I like the sanded scales. Do you simply sand them or do they need to be waxed or otherwise treated?

Just sanded them, got it 90% of the way with a belt sander and the finished it off with a couple different grits of emery paper

I love it and pics are great. I admire the fact you took a tool like that and modified it to your liking. I would take serious thought of dropping big bucks on a blade and turning a round and taking action to modify it. I'm very impressed.
