On my way to Jackson, Wyoming, I stopped at the Craters of the Moon National park. It is where astronauts trained before going to the moon the first time. It is also the place where the caldera under Yellowstone used to be before the tectonic plate slid past.
This was taken from inside one of the prehistoric lava tubes. The ceiling cave ins were the only source of light and taking a pic in the pitch black was next to impossible to get focus.
That is ice. The flowers were actually yellow.
This was also on the way to Jackson. It is Snake River.
