Hard to answer, as personal tastes / daily activities means so much.
I used to have a SAR3 that I EDC'd. It is a great little knife, but I originally intended it more to use for hunting, EDC, etc. Well...my Gene Ingram's just outpaced it, and for EDC, my SS4 makes me feel more secure and still works fine (and the 4" blade helps). The SS4 is a tad thicker...but the mudder grips just rock. Also, a bit thinner folder would make a great alternative for EDC. I guess I just found the SAR3 getting outpaced by others.
For whittling, bushcraft, daily edc, etc...you might consider the CABS LE. It is a great knife with excellent balance. I had one of those also...but chose the Gene Ingram's over it also (hunting priority). However, if you wanted one to do it all...the CABS LE would be a fantastic choice.
You might also seriously consider waiting for the SYKCO 411. If it comes in SR101 and decently thin (5/32 or less), it will be a really wonderful blade. OR, if you want micarta handles and full tang...get it's sister blade from the Swamp (their 411). Both would be considerably less expensive than the CABS LE.
