Thanks for the compliments.

Scout carried?
What does that mean?

BTW, it also allows for strapping it your backpack easily.

BTW, it also allows for strapping it your backpack easily.

Scout carry is when you carry the knife in a horizontal position usually in the small of the back area. It provides a lower profile and does not usually hang up. Some people belief that there is a greater chance of loss with this carry method, but if your sheath is designed for it and is well made with positive retention and good straps you really do not have anything to worry about.

There is a little more difficulty in re sheathing the knife with this carry method. It takes practice and a good sheath.

It has been used for years but got alot of popularity after the release of the Hunted. The Tom Brown Tracker Knife is carried alot in this fashion.

This is a sheath designed just for scout carry with a very secure locking design. I dont remember the maker but it is a nice looking sheath.

Here are some generic pictures I found on the web to give you a quick visual. Once again congrats on the great sheaths and blades!!!

Ah, ok. I think the loop then should be removed by loosening the bolts, for it to work out. But then it would be perfect for horisontal carry.

I'm glad you like the sheaths, Rasmus, it was a pleasure making them for you.

Thanks guys for the complements.

As far as Scout style sheaths go, I really like them myself, although I can never understand why most are made contrary to my liking..??? In order to work and function best, they need to be made for the edge to be positioned up, not down...
