I went out the back of my place yesterday afternoon looking for pigs, we’ve had a lot of rain of late and the weather is hot and steamy so I didn’t last too long. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
The pigs have been coming down to my dam at night for a drink, the dog chasses them back before they can root around and damage my bottom paddock.
For a blast I had my guide gun with me, my Scrap Yard Muk, and the trusty dawg. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

My outfit.

This tunnel is where they come in from at night.

Plenty of fresh Roo sign around.

As I said I didn’t last too long. It was too hot, so I fired a couple of rounds into an old gum tree out there just so I could say I did have a shot. There are plenty of pigs around, they disappear well back into the scrub during the day times. The dog's not a bad finder but even she kept finding water to immerse herself in to cool down.

I told my wife I wanted to be cremated. She made me an appointment for tomorrow afternoon. grin

Thanks for the comments. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

It soon with be winter here as we are going into Autumn at the moment, this year I hope to get back into a little more hunting.

I still get my fix and shoot a little skeet every Wednesday arvo just to keep the smell of burnt gunpowder in my system. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Bag some bacon for me <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I assume pigs are an introduced/disruptive species in Australia as well?

Do you have a season or requirement for tags/licensing to hunt them?
