Haven't gone backpacking almost a year driving me nuts need to get out again for at least a week.. If I was in your neck of the woods Id hit up the PCT trail at Mount Whitney or go out to Kings canyon.

Its sad. I live in an out doors paradise and I have logged about 200 miles on my treadmill so far this year.

That was the last one i did Sequoia and Kings Canyon John Muir trail was out about 7 days got caught in a snow storm for 2 days, freakin awesome!

We have no walking trails around us. Have to drive 30 minutes it seams to find a good place to walk. Wish their was more stuff available around here.

[censored] I miss the sierras. I am still jonesin to do the Tahoe rim trail. Last hiking I did in CA I did a solo hike for 3 nights in the trinity alps. Went to grizzly lake, google that place <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> I loved those 3 days. First one on most of the trails, Sign of bear everywhere. Ahhh I need to get back to a mountainous state
