So true, I will stay on the west coast as long as possible. the politics are not the best but this is where the best trails and trail racing are. I need a little trailer.

Ever gone climbing, I could put you in touch with my brother. He climbs shasta and does all kinds of physically demanding stuff in the mountains.

I have poles and guns just not the desire. I do action pistol shooting but that is it. My wilderness is spent running trails. There is a little chill but clear.

I have done Mt Whitney twice and used to backpack a lot but I can't stand it anymore. Walking is too slow. I like light and fast.

Rockville is good, kinda small, I go the Lagoon too. My favorite are the trails in Auburn. My wife likes Briones and Diablo. Sonoma has nice stuff too.

I here ya. I dont run yet but I am getting there. I want to do fastpacking which includes trail running and overnight camping. Only way I will see all the stuff I want to see. Working on my weightnow

There are actually 20 miles of single track trail there! There is a 4 mile trail that goes up the backside of the tower, everybody takes the road. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/barf.gif" alt="" />
