I didn´t.... In my ""#¤&%¤!#¤ -mind it turned out to something completely else.

I had a nasty influenza last year, this year I didn´t have it. So think positively! Sometimes you just have bad luck!

Well Timo, it's not a well known term outside the military community and maybe some government jobs. There have been references to it in some movies/TV shows though from time to time, but rarely. Besides, as english as your second language a LOT of things we accept as normal, for you isn't.

Thanks Randy, I´ve never hear about pcs before. But I know they do shorten the words here too. I´ve heard about a rule for shortening words in the military: "Words can be shortened from the beginning, end, in the middle or by some other agreed way".

Daddy was in the Army for about 15 years, so I've heard a few of the terms.

I take pride in my writing ability. I used to be a newspaper reporter, and that part of the job really stuck with me.
