 ELMAX testing?

Hey guys. I admit I haven't been hanging out over here as much as I should, but I tried the search and nothing came up for Elmax testing.
I was mainly wondering what would happen if you treated it like a carbon steel mora. Its pretty rare that I go in the woods without a much larger blade, but it would be nice to know how much the scrapmaxs could tolerate. If I thought the tests wouldn't be out already, I would have grabbed an extra to beat on. Is it out there somewhere and I just haven't found it yet?

i havent beat my scrapmax blades yet. but i do love them for food prep. all though i wash and dry the knives as soon as i am done useing them but i noticed a faint stain on one blade.

a stain already? I thought Elmax was stainless? I know it means Stan-LESS not stain proof, but if you are only using it for food prep and its staining already...
I am really intrigued by the Elmax blades though, can't wait for reviews.

I'm curious myself as to whether Elmax would be good for a thicker bladed camp knife; something like a 3/16" thick, 8" long blade.

I did find a few reports from other makers that made some pretty hefty knives from Elmax. Looks like they held up very well.
I'd love to see a big Busse heat treated Elmax chopper come out!

It would be nice to see the scheduled release of the 411, be with Elmax. Yarrr! My ElMax has been working flawlessly. Fuzz sticks, small batoning jobs (only on green wood..haven't tried a really hard wood yet), slicing perpendicular to some green limbs in an effort to cut them in half, etc. I just love it's weight. It's so light, there's no reason NOT to have one, along with any large knife you want.

yeah the stain bothers me...... but what can i say. and Tom it not the one from you. its my 460.
also the edge grind is really rough and well...... not very clean so to say on my four
