When I attended the AG Russell show a few summers ago the TG was there and I passed because it felt heavy and not balanced like I wanted it too. Now that the LB version is out I am hearing great things. I might have a chance to get one since I pointed out to the wife that they are good for killing Zombies--we love the Walking Dead series. Now do I need it, no...cause in my current state bugging in and not out is the plan. Could I use one, yes since like all sharp pieces of metal are better than the hand or foot as a weapon. Do I need it to compliment the other Bussekin, that is why I am asking you guys.

ow I know some of you guys will say get it, some will say no but please give me rational reasons and responses. Why would the TGLB be better than the RMD, 911, 1311, KDSH or SODLE? The small Bussekin have their place but it is not in the mid-range size.

Lets hear it.

Jeff, you KNOW that you want it! Actually, you already have the bases pretty well covered, but the TGLB IS definitely nicer than the standard model...I have both.

Well not having one, I can only speculate. The TGLB has two guards. PLUS a lanyard hole. With that setup you could lash it to a pole thereby making a nice pike. PLUS it is a larger blade and therefore gives additional reach AND it is a thick and wide blade, both of which only adds to the usefulness as a weapon. Both contribute to a larger wound channel.

I hope my PICTURE ONLY observation helps ya Jeff, and good luck. Stay at healthy as Y'all can.

I was enchanted with it's good looks but was concerned that I wouldn't care for the feel of that top guard. Same thing with the Ratmanduex LE and ended up grinding it down. Well, I got to handle it at Blade, and decided that it just wasn't for me. The NMSFNO will fill the same role for me. Now, if they come out with a version without a top guard, I will not be able to resist.

Well Hooker, IF you're handy with a grinder or a file, and the TGLB IS available.....
