I am choosing between a 711 tanker grey and a 1311. Which one is better for utility and performance? Don't have yet any experience using it. I read that the 711 tanker grey is rare and therefore a better choice. Any thoughts? Your advice will be appreciated. Thanks!

The two blades a quite far apart. I would consider the 711 the more versatile of the two.
I have both, but the 711 is my go to camp-/hard use knife.
The 1311 however is one awesome blade, so if you can get both, why not?

As Rasmus said, the 711 is a more all around camp type "survival" blade, whereas the 1311 leans more toward the dedicated chopper/heavy machete side. That being said, the 1311 seems lighter than it is. 13.5 inch long 3/16 thick blade is surprisingly agile for it's size.

But if you can only get one for a do it all blade, go with the 711. I think you would be happier.

Thank you for telling your opinion. I really appreciate it. I just ordered my 711 tanker grey. 1311 is probably my next purchase.

No problem. You are welcome!

Eh, how did you come about ordering a tanker grey 711? Unless it was from the exchange...
