Holy heck...just experienced an "end of the world" scenario" last night. Not for me, but for a few unlucky piglets. Was hunting with my .308, throwing 168 grain Tipped TSX's...I call them "bluebonnets of death". Nothing but Love.

Bluebonnets of Death

A video, for your pleasure. 5 Shots....4 running shots. 4 hits, 3 kills. Bit of hesitation between the first shot and second, took me a second to realize I had a chance at a second kill. Got the really big one on the second shot, just outside of the video (to the right). Third shot was a hit, but not a kill shot. Fourth shot was a "long" shot at a little bitty one, don't a rightaway. Fifth shot was a follow up on the third shot.

Bluebonnets of Death.........I like that.

I'm sitting in a blind waiting for Bambi's Dad to stick his head out. Don't have a good enough signal to watch the vid, but I can see the pics. Very nicely done!

My hog specific load in .308 uses a Speer 130gn hollow point... they work like little hand grenades on swine. I duplicated a "Govt Only" load that Winchester put together for CT work here, been using the same deal since the 80-s ..

Nice shooting mate ....

Thanks guys...was a hoot!

SP - Good luck in the field!

Andy - Sounds like a good load. My rifle was made using a unique reamer, so I can't go that low in weight. Well, I can...it just suffers in accuracy. Sounds like a SCREAMER, though!!

Greaser / GD - It's an Underground Skunkworks KUKRI (company is now called BlackOps Precision). Mike is a great gunsmith. This one will go to the grave with me. Hard to tell in the video...but that first shot went through the ear on that first boar.
