Ammo and some firearms are starting to appear in shops here, too. Maybe the panic buying will drop off soon.

The panic buying may drop off but the legislation is still going to go to the floor.

when I see chinamart selling .22 at a normal pace, then I know the panic buying is tapering off but here in Northern VA, it is crazy. The shelves are void of .22, 45acp. 9mm, 223, and 308. I see no end to the madness.

they couldnt keep .22lr bricks in the walmarts here even before the panic. it would be nice to get some 9mm. I also wouldn mind finding a box of .308 that's not $35-$40.

i managed to pick up a box of tula 7.62x39 jhp for $6 a box at academy. it a box per caliber limit and they had a good bit left so i may drop by and get another box when i pass there again in the morning. don't think I'll be in line when the doors open for one box though. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I just ordered 250 rounds of 45acp from wisconsincartridge.com Came to about $28/box of 5o shipped. Not great, but hey, any port in a storm!

no 223 or 9mm. Just sold out of 45acp JHP. No more 30-06 either. Didn't check on 308 since I don't have a need.

Tuesday I scored thre boxes of .44 Mag, then went through the front checkout with a box of 12 gauge buckshot. I just returned from there with two boxes of .30-06 and a box of 12 gauge "Defender" loads...a 12 gauge slug with three ))buckshot. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> Plus, while I was gone a guy I met at WalMart called concerning trading me a few hundred .223 for some 9mm. He is supposed to call back, so I imagine I will be meeting him at WalMart tomorrow, waiting on their shipment. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

The new hang out is Dick's Sporting goods at 0-dark thirty. This early arrival will help you score a good spot in line with the ammo hounds. I have done it four times in the last two weeks and have scored on .22 and 38 special.

THis past Friday they had 223 in bulk for $410.00/1000 out the door. They also had value packs of 45acp. To score will require you to wait on average 2.5 hours in line.
