If law enforcement officers are allowed to carry 10+ round magazines for self protection, shouldn't average Joe citizen be offered that same level of protection?

Even better, get rid of Bloomburgermeister's protection detail and let him protect himself with low capacity magazines. Same with Gov. Cuomo and Mayor Emamuel.
Give them the same protection as they offer me, a 911 call.

Pull all of the Capitol Hill police and make it all a gun free zone. That way no criminals will be allowed to have firearms. A since it's a declared gun free zone, the can issue batons to the police or just pull them all out and put them on the streets where the crime occurs. Then the Govenors, Mayors, Congressman/Congresswomen and Senate members can use 9111 like the rest of us.

All gun ban politicians should forgo any armed security. By their logic more guns near them, means there's a greater chance they'll get shot. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />

I have split feelings about how all this should effect LEO out there. Several family members are in that line of work. Just like any other work place there are good and bad. And all I know are struggling with the choices being forced on them by government.

There are too many don't-knows. What if you have a 30 round mag being ship to you as we speak? say the bill passes and your package is getting there next week? What if you order a ban item and they are flying to your FFL during the passing of the bill? Online ammo buying still ok?
