I get that feeling too, I've seen differences in how the res-c meets the handle on a couple different B4LE's I've had. It seems as though they don't all come out the same when fitting the handles, but it's very slight from what I can tell.

He's not talking about the choil, he means where the blade tapers off to the tang and the handle connect. I have had a couple Scrapyards where there is a slight gap between the handle and the blade. It's not a big deal for most and Scrapyard took care of me anyways. Rubber is not a precision fit kinda material, but it sure is comfy to use.

I checked the pic and zoomed in. I think it is an optical illusion.

Love the comment by Horn Dog regarding the Buck 119 with the fancy handle. I have two older 119's from back in the day. While they are not as tough as SR or SY blades, the 119 is a good design that can function well as a basic hunting knife.

The Buck 119 is probably the second most popular hunting knife around here. The Buck 110 sort of displaced it. While Bucks are good value in American-made knives, the Busse kin blades are at a whole different level.

I did check out one of those fancy handled 119 offerings. When I picked the knife up, it felt quite a bit more heavy than the regular black handled version. The look of the piece is stunning by any margin.

I wonder how many 119's are out there. My old ones have seen lots of use in the field and are still ticking. The only 110 that I had I gave away as a gift to an old friend.

It always took a while to get an edge on my 119, something that has not been an issue with the 1311. I was told that the original Buck steel used in the mid 1970's was a tad on the hard side when contrasted with the 420C used today.
