I usually shoot at High Rock over at Naugatuck. Out door range and you can pretty much use any bullets and bring anything. One time I saw a guy shooting at a computer lol. You just have to clean up after yourself. It is also on the cheap side. 5 bucks for the 1st hour and then 4 bucks an hour after that.

Has anyone checked Walmart? When I was visiting my brother back in Virginia, that was the only place that had 22.lr and 7.62x39 in stock. That was a few months ago though.

A friend of mine has a stockpile and it is a good stockpile 55,000+ rounds of different ammo. And we used to joke around with him and say stuff like when the zombies show up we all know where to get ammo. We don't laugh at him anymore. He is able to ride thru this ammo shortage.

I remember walking around the ammo case at Wally World full of ammo and not getting any. This whole ammo short deal is getting me to think twice about what to do after the shortage is done. Keeping 10,000+ rounds isn't a bad idea. It's better than running around just to find a few boxes of .45 if you ask me.

Now hopefully we are at near the end of this shortage and the case full of ammo is near!

I am pretty well set on completed ammo and on suppies for reloading more. I still look for deals when out and the only thing I can find around here is hunting ammo for around 1 dollar a round but that is better than spending 1.50 a round and up on FMJ IMHO, although I did get some surplus for 50 cents a round 3 weeks ago. (this pertains to 308/7.62x51)

Frederick County VA. I think there are three Walmarts in the county and one in the city of Winchester. This was in January. I think i paid 5 or 6 dollars a box for TULE 7.62x39. Oh and the ACE in the county had CCI 22lr in stock too.

If you live near a big city with lots of folks who don't like guns, go to a store there. I bet they will have boxes of different stuff as long as you're ok with paying a premium for it.

Lucky for me I enjoy shooting shotguns

I check every AM at o-dark thirty on the way into work. The shelves here in VA are naked.

Keep dreaming. Every time you see anti gun crap in the headlines, it only fuels the fire to hord.

The way I see it even if the conspiracy theorists are wrong, the fact that the shelves have been empty so long that any that does come in gets bought up by us that remember the shelves being empty so it's bound to be this way until we all run out of money and then really need the ammo

Anybody think this could be the reason for the shortage?
