Wow, impressive work and nice pics!

Surely, that is not a factory edge. What did you use?

Thank you. It was never sharpened in any way. Every pic in this thread of my 1311 was done with the factory edge; I have since sharpened it. Amazing performance from SR-101....

Sweet pics!

Every once in a while people want Dan to use SR77, but his SR101 is so good I can't understand why. Its tough as heck and like mentioned the edge retention is fantastic

SR77 is a little cheaper I believe.

Those are some great pics! I wish that the 1311 was part of the original line up, or at least that Dan made them available again to those of us here.

Took the 1311, 1111, and KDSH to my Pop's house to clear out some unwanted trees. The best chopper was the KDSH then the 1111, the 1311 also performed well, but the 1111 was made to be a chopper and the KDSH is an ax. Ignore the sweat droplet on the 1311, it was hot.

The 1311 did have some damage. 3 small chips and a little roll on the blade. I'll just sharpen these out.

Had to throw the ax. Actually threw all three, but the ax stayed stuck.
