Its Halloween (ish). Zombie topics have been done to death. Whats the best rifle/round for dispatching werewolves if there was an outbreak? I'm thinking 45/70 or a 12 guage. I'm going for impact over round count

12 gauge with the multi-defense round...one .65 cal. ball and six #1 buckshot. ;), followed by a .45-.70. Of course, ALL projectiles would need to be made from silver!

Well, you know I like big-bore. My vote is .45-70 gov't with a 405 gr hard cast RNFP made out of silver with a gas-check on the back side behind a stout load of IMR 4198. Pistol, anything in .45 auto with silver in the tip. And lastly, a lot of Molotov cocktails for assurance.

45-70 with a 405 grain Laser Cast bullet from Oregon Trail Bullet Company. They include silver in the alloy XDM in 45acp also pushing Laser Casts as my back up hand gun. More rounds than the 44 mag wheel gun. It's werewolves! Go big or get eaten.

Save your money on pure silver rounds. All that is needed is a silver alloy. Course it MIGHT take a round or two more, but you can have more rounds for the same amount of money. I would go HOT 357 or larger. Shotgun loaded with buck or slugs would work really nice. Course your big bore brass cased rounds will do wonders as well.
Now if we could just get Dan to make us a silver alloyed blade...
