I tried ice fishing a few times. I like fishing from a canoe better.

I've been thinking of buying a kayak for fishing, one of the sit-on models set up for fishing.

Easier to take out into shallow water than a boat, and easier to get in the water too.

I have a sit on kayak. Its pretty stable but I flipped it several times before I got the hang of it. Different models have different degrees of stability.

Hopefully I'll get one before the summer so I can do some of the backwater fishing like I enjoy doing, but don't have a way to do right now.

I went fishing in a kayak in the Gulf of Mexico, outside of Tampa. I MUCH prefer a boat, followed by a canoe.
