Andy,
I'd like to see a pic of that sheath. You are very creative, in that regard. I have been impressed by some of the stuff you have shown over at the swamp.

Thanks. Sorry, I didn’t forget, I’ve just been busy recently. Here’s some pics I just took for you. The grey one is the 1st one I made. The middle one is the second one, and the newest looking one is the new one. I made it from that couragated plastic cardboard-like material. I found some telephone pole SPAM in the form of an advertisement someone attached to ugly up my senic country road. So I ripped it off. I was going to throw it away, but then realized I could salvage it to make sheaths from. From SPAM to sheaths. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

The newest one is much thicker than the older ones, but it is much stronger too. To re-enforce the end to keep the tip from penetrating in the pocket and causing injury, I took the lid off a tin can and cut it to shape and wrapped it around the end and then taped over it. After I cut it to shape, I “sanded” the sharp edge where I’d cut it out on the cement floor to keep it from cutting at the tape. This sheath should be pretty weatherproof. It’s all encased in plastic.

Here in Korea I carry my Camillus blaze. When I get back to the states I will be carrying my R.E.S. I did not want to lose a $270 knife to customs.

As far as not using expensive folders, the R.E.S is cheap compared to my wifes user. She has a moonsong unique Sebbie.
Here are a couple teaser pics:

What I am carrying right now is a Smith & Wesson Extreme Ops with the tanto style blade. It is company for the Makarov 9x18 pistol on my hip.

I carry an Emerson SARK (pointed) for when I venture out further than the safety of my whereabouts.
I also carry a Benchmade Spec War CQC7. I guess Im a sucker for Emersons designs.
I carried a Spyderco Endura & Rescue for years when they first came out.

Im waiting on the Scrapyard folder!

I carry the sak with key chain of goodies in my left front along with the 710HSR today, the Sebenza, and 975SLH are the left pocket rotation.
The right pocket always has my 800S or the 806S.
