I finally got a leather belt for my 1X30" belt sander.
Why did I wait so long? I can have a mirror edge in about 5 minutes.
Actually Busskin blades make it pretty easy to attain a mirror finish.
My better 1/2 asked if we had plenty of band aids for her in the kitchen.

I've got to get me one of those sanders. I don't think they're very expensive at Harbor Freight and I'd at least figure out if it's an option for me.

The leather belt for the Harbor Frieght 1x30 is pretty cool. I went nuts when I got the leather belt and polished just about every fixed blade I had. I kind of went overboard, but I did learn a bit about edges along the way. My wife gave me some crap for messing with the kitchen knives, but hey it was fun.

Ya I went for about an hour yesterday starting with the cheaper cutlery .
Yes the leather belt, compound, 600 grit and 1000grit belts cost more than the Harbor Freight belt sander.
I tried it out on my 411 only after about 45 min of practice. Used the 600 then the leather. Mirror I tell ya.
I believe once I have all the kitchen knives the way I want 'em, keeping them super sharp should only take an hour once a month.
I'm thinking I'm going to have no problem winning the sharpest knife contest at next years "Man's" dinner at church.
BTW picture taking is not my forte. I'll do my best.
