Hey guys, I'm new to the forum I guess as I'm not real active but I have a question that I need some help with.

I have a new 711...only one. I was offered a very fair amount of money to sell the knife. I have a 911, 1311 and 311 along with various others but those are my 11 series knives at this time.

Am I losing capability by selling the 711? Or do I keep for collectability only regardless of capability? I like the 911 more and have used it instead of the 711 but since the 711 is no longer available I was unsure if I should accept this offer or not?

Any support from fellow Dogs who can relate to and appreciate the situation of well money is good, I have lots of knives but collecting is fun too so I'm not sure what to do.

I sold my 311 and 511 just becouse I don´t like them that much - collection is not one of my things. i want to use them and i bet i wouldn´t have used them as much as i should have after paying money for them...

If I'm not gonna use a knife I would sell it! The fact that you can't get them means nothing really, well not to me anyway.

If I could afford to hang onto it, I would keep it but that's just me. Personally I would view something like this as an investment that might increase in value over time (maybe?). Seems like a dollar gets more and more worthless every single year.

And I agree with you about liking the 911, awesome blade.

Sig. I don't have a 711 but I do have a Bulldog regulator, basically a Milreg with a different nose on it, roughly the same size as the 711 but with the regulator grip.

I DO have a 911. IT IS NICE, but there are times where the 2 inch smaller blade would be nice. As if you are out fishing 9(Or Squirrel/rabbit hunting) and you only have one knife. The 711 would be easier to use than the 911.

Just saying. IF you like it and don't need to sell it to fund something else, I say keep it. You might grow to like/use it or will just have a Spare.

Personally, I would keep it. But then, I am REALLY addicted to Bussekin!!!

I figure it doesn't cost anything to keep a knife. Unless you need the funds for another knife or the buyer is a friend I'd hang onto it.
