I JUST RECENTLY GOT INTO FLASHLIGHTS, HAVE THOSE PLASTIC JOBS LYING AROUND, AND DECIDED I BETTER UPGRADE. I LIKE THE INOVA T-3 LED. COMPACT, AND SEEMS LIKE A GOOD VALUE, YOU CAN PICK THEM UP FOR UNDER $60.00. I BASICALLY WANT A LIGHT FOR HOME SECURITY. I'M LOOKING FOR A NEW 2007 MODEL, THEY UPPED THE LUMENS AND WATTAGE ON THE 2007 T-3'S MODEL. I CAN'T FIND THEM AROUND, TRIED TARGET, DICK'S, SPORT AUTH, ETC. CAN'T SEEM TO FIND A GOOD DEALER ON THE NET, EITHER. I SEE THEM ON EVILBAY, BUT NONE OF THE 2007'S, JUST THE CURRENT OLDER MODEL. ANYBODY KNOW A LARGE DEALER OR A STORE THAT WOULD HANDLE THEM? I'M IN THE NORTH JERSEY AREA. I'M NOT AGAINST ORDERING ONLINE. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP. TOM-C

The best flshlights on the markey hands down are by Surefire. They are a little pricey but you get what you pay for and a lifetime warrant too. I have several and they are excellent. The X200B for my Glock 21 is awesome. I also have a M800 scout ligt on my M4. This is the best, brighest and light weight combat light out there.
I love my country but fear my government.

i remember when i used to say things like "$20?...for a knife?" so i won't ridicule expensive flashlights but i recently got the triple led for my copper aa maglight with the push-button pommel and it's as bright as some full size halogen lanterns i've used. around $20 total.
before that the krypton bulb sucked next to my $5 duracell led. if you're lookin for a beat stick, just get a pump and use the muzzle flash to light your way.

Thanks for your help. The FENIX line looks great, and Battery Junction would be the one for an Inova. Didn't mean to shout, guess you scared me LeatherFace!

A very handy, less "tactical" looking light is the Streamlight twintask. Roughly $30 if you look a bit on the 'net. One very bright xenon bulb and three bright led bulbs. The leds are good for 10+ hours. Its a great all purpose light. Redundant bulbs, one hour of portable sun, 10 of working light. http://flashlightsunlimited.com/twintask-2l.htm

Hi Ratfink,
My 2 cents.
I have several Surefire lights and they are wonderful. I also have several Fenix lights. The one or two I use almost daily. (Not special purpose, just every day)
are the Fenix lights They are smaller, lighter, very bright LED lights that use cheap AA and AAA and also CR123 batteries. For the $ spent, have a great value/performance ratio.
For hard use --- Surefire.
