Yeah, I've never left a blade this damp before. My M2 nimravus was left in a glass of saltwater for 8 hours with only a very small dark spot resulting. That was during a test to check its suitability as a dive knife. The difference of course being it was not exposed to air like the dogfather was.

Not sure if I want to sharpen out the rust or try to rub it out with a tough cloth. Seems a little extensive for the tough cloth though. Then again, I am going camping with it this evening so perhaps I should just see if some chopping helps to buff out the rust.
