Forgot to mention, that the SR77 would nine times out of ten have better lateral strength...having the ability to hold a 45 degree to 90 degree angle a still return to true and not snap. I dont know if the previously mentioned steels could take such abuse and still come out smelling like roses <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
At the end of the day, SR77 is an amazing steel and allows ScrapYard knives to set a standard in the Performance to Price ratio. Large or small it does it all. INFI is the only steel to out perform it. As far as corrosion is concerned, we coat the blade and tang, so there is coating from end to end, so even the steel under the handle is protected against corrosion. Only the ground edge is exposed and you maintain that with a simple oiling or stopping.
