The feel of the handle is really cool too. It is obviously hickory, but it is also supposed to be soaked in linseed oil and has a type of beeswax coating, even though it does not feel waxy.

The length is also nice. It is long enough you can get a good two handed grip on it. One handed you can choke up just a bit (3/4 of the length). It is also easy to grip it very close to the head for real detailed stuff. It is sharp enough that I have even made feathersticks gripping it that way. I just dig it.

I just love the traditional look about it.
